Orange zest and ginger add unexpected deliciousness to lentil soup in this week's Dorie recipe. I set it to simmer a few minutes ago, and the aroma of everything bubbling away on the stove is divine. For serving, you purée the works and top with a dollop of yogurt and crisped bacon; now that can get me excited about lentils!

This soup did smell delicious as it looked. I enjoyed this soup a lot. Hope you have a good weekend.
Oh, it tastes as good as it smells! Definitely a keeper of a recipe. Enjoy!
Definitely a fragrant bowl, though truly not my favorite version of lentil soup.
Your timing on the photo was spot on- the end result was less "happy" but the aroma more than offset it. Not sure I will put this one into much rotation but we enjoyed it and it inspired me to enjoy lentils more often.
Yes, the parts were much more attractive than the whole - but it was keeper.
